Eucalyptol Food Grade Natural Terpene
Eucalyptol is another name for 1,8-cineole, however, eucalyptol does sound like it comes from eucalyptus, which has a long history of use in folk medicine for respiratory complaints. This monoterpene is the primary chemical constituent of Eucalyptus essential oil. It is also found in Melaleuca, Basil, Rosemary, Sage, and Peppermint essential oils. Often referred to as eucalyptol, 1,8-cineole has a camphor-like aroma and a pleasant spicy taste.
We would like to assure you that we use only terpenes and flavor ingredients that are listed as being generally recognized as safe (GRAS) on a reliable published industry association (FEMA) list and/or are approved for use in a regulation of the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.
